Atlanta News Anchor Javita Moore Apparently Doesn't think the Statutory Rape Laws Should Apply to Black Girls

Heck, I'mma run out of room in this screenplay of alleged Black women journalists who continue to wash rapist Genarlow Wilson's DIRTY LAUNDRY. Genarlow Wilson finally managed to graduate from Morehouse College. President Obama is giving the commencement address. If his name shows up in the speech....we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. No sense borrowing trouble.

Anywhoo, Black women journalists as you know ar ethe primary producers of Pro-rapist propaganda on behalf of Genarlow Wilson. If you will recall, it was about this time last year when the four Black women who run Ebony magazine ran an outright lie of an article which said Genarlow Wilson was not a rapist.... except he is a rapist. He was conviceted of rape and that conviction was NEVER reversed. He didn't get out of jail on a direct appeal of his conviction. Well WAOD Readers ended that utter stupidity not by reasoning with Ebony.com's editorial team, but by asking advertisers to intervene on behalf of Black women and girls.

So to be clear, .... a 14 year old girl cannot CONSENT to being Mr. Wilson and his five buddie's sex toy. She doesn't have legal consent. She probably can't CONSENT to getting her ears pierced. Or CONSENT to taking out a $100,000 student loan or CONSENT to join the US Army. She can't CONSENT and Javita Moore knows this.

Yet despite this, Javita Moore repeatedly says that the 14 year old in this case "consented." And doesn't ask a single question about Mr. Wilson's 17 year old victim.

And Javita Moore completely erased the existence of Genarlow Wilson's 17-year old victim, who the courts refer to as LM. Let's review what Mr. Wilson did to LM since Javita Moore couldn't be bothered to remind you because it would mess up her Disney-esque fabrication of the Genarlow Wilson story.

Zerlina Maxwell's Inconvenient Truth: L.M. and How Black Media Erased a Rape Victim

Genarlow Wilson, the man, couldn't stand up to their narrative, so they created Genarlow Wilson, the myth, and removed LM from history as if what Genarlow Wilson and his teammates did to her didn't happen and didn't matter. The press threw her in the trash much like Genarlow Wilson and his teammates threw her on the floor when they got through with her.

LM, went to a party with her fellow athletes and when she fell unconscious, possibly after they drugged her, Genarlow Wilson and his buddies raped her, repeatedly and video taped it. That's not what I say, that's what the Georgia Court of Appeals describes in Wilson vs. State of Georgia.

A group of teenagers rented adjacent rooms at a motel and held a raucous, unsupervised New Year's Eve party.   Among the participants were 17-year-old Genarlow Wilson, 17-year-old L.M., and 15-year-old T.C.   The next morning, L.M. reported to her mother that she had been raped.   Police were notified, and the motel rooms were searched.   During the search, a videocamera and videocassette tape were found.   The tape showed Wilson having sexual intercourse with an apparently semiconscious L.M. and T.C. performing oral sex on Wilson. Wilson v. State.

But here's the kicker, Genarlow Wilson's defense team tried to use the fact that LM was unconscious to exclude the tape of Mr. Wilson raping her. If she was unconscious, they argued, she could not authenticate the tape. They probably made this argument in an evidentiary hearing outside the hearing of the jury.

Here, L.M. was a witness who appeared at trial and might have provided personal authentication of the videotape by testifying that it accurately portrayed what took place at the time of the occurrence of the events in question.  She could not, however, provide such testimony because she had lost consciousness as a result of drug and alcohol use.   Although L.M. did regain consciousness during some of the events and did recall Wilson attempting to have sexual intercourse with her and trying to force her to give him oral sex, she did not have any independent recollection of the events depicted on the videotape.   L.M. was, therefore, an unavailable witness under OCGA § 24-4-48, as she testified “to a lack of memory of the subject matter of the authentication.”  Wilson V. State.

And THIS is why we are producing the Genarlow Wilson Movie--- because of women like Javita Moore who want to engage in revisionist history on behalf of a man who PREYS on Black girls.

If you haven't contributed towards the fund to purchase a copy of the full trial transcript for inclusion in the Genarlow Wilson movie, the GoFundMe widget is in the sidebar and as always you can use the PayPal button, just indicate you want it to go towards the Genarlow Wilson movie project.

He and his male-identified Black women supporters may be winning the battle, but they will win the war of history. Future generations will know about this group of Black women who lined up behind this rapist to sell other Black women and girls down river.

Genarlow, you and your henchwomen can click your ruby red slippers a thousand times. President Obama, the Pope, the Ghost of Tupac and anoint your head with olive oil and a fig branch and a feather from a phoenix- it matters not- You are an unapologetic rapist. You can try to erase LM from your narrative all you want, but we all know the truth... You ought to try telling it sometimes, it might set you free.

I think that clearly they are expressing a layperson's view of the events as opposed to a legal view. By dictionary definition, she does consent. By legal definition, she can't and doesn't. So we are arguing semantics.

Even from a legal standpoint, he is not a rapists since he was convicted of child molestation as opposed to rape.

BLOGMOTHER COMMENT - Okay Well I'll start using Child Molester, Genarlow Wilson instead since you insist. He's a rapist. A man who attempts to force his penis into the mouth of an unconscious 17 year old girl is a rapist.

Your quote from the appeals court says that TC was 15, not 14.

Blogmother Comment - She was underage. What's your point. He was less of a child molester?

Blogmother, so I'm guessing that DeeDee is an editor, perhaps?

It is unfortunate that some people cannot read, little boy blue is a rapist morally and legally. He was tried before his peers. You cannot cover up that mess and the fact "Blogmother" who is a lawyer must thump someone on the head to make them think is a shame.

Why are all of these women more worked up about the sentencing disparities that this molestor worked to his advantage rather than about a legal system that allows a girl to be drugged and raped on film but allows her attackers to escape because they succussfully drugged her enought to make her unable to testify against them?

I still want to know where are the scholarships for the victims?

I was watching Roland Martin on tv one about black churches. They too need to be called out because plain and simple Genarlow Wilson is a rapist. So let's see rape a Black female teenager get a scholarship, Black girls get thrown under the bus and left to defend for herself. I will be speaking with my dollars because no one wants to call out the abuse from the Black Elite. Jesse Jackson Sr. , Al Sharpton crickets. But when those 5 black males were falsely accused every body and their momma was praying, marching and all of this of the backs of Black Women. When a Black teenage female life is endangered , Shaniqua was attacked and fighting for her life ,and now the sports. So we get thrown under the bus but let him did that to the beckys or ambers and they would see to it that justice will be serve even if becky started it , she has protection from others that Genarlow will see jail time as soon as your head spins.

This is just so disturbing. There are so many young black men that can be highlighted for doing great things. The President highlighted one in his Morehouse speech. It is so sad that young men who choose to do the right thing are ignored, while Wilson is deified over and over again. I'm waiting for his reality show.

Okay Well I'll start using Child Molester, Genarlow Wilson instead since you insist. He's a rapist. A man who attempts to force his penis into the mouth of an unconscious 17 year old girl is a rapist.

He was aquitted of all charges regarding the 17 year old even with the video being shown to the jury. Thus, he did not rape her or he would have been sentenced for it.

Now if you are calling him a rapist morally, that's your opinon in much the way that it is the opinion of others that he is morally not a rapist nor child molester.

From a moral standpoint, the age difference does make him less than a child molester. You have two teenagers, both of whom are not legal adults and who are less than two years apart. Both willingly participated in the act.

Trying to force the 17 year old to perform oral sex on him is a claim that was not proven to the jury (there was no video of this). Trying to force someone to perform oral sex on him would have immediately fallen under Georgia's then sodomy laws and he would have been serving duel sentences. But he was serving only one.

Blogmother comment - Dee Dee is now a certified LIAR. Honey, when a Court of Appeals drafts their opinion of the uncontroverted facts in a case, they draft them in a light most sympathetic to the moving party. Trust me, if mr. Wilson tried to shove his penis into the mouth of an unconscious 17 year old girl- then that's what happened. As for the jury, no doubt, they were rape culture supporters much like yourself. We're not in a court of law- we are now firmly in the court of public opinion and he's a rapist. The irony is that even Mr. Wilson won't deny what he did if questioned about it, Yet here you are riding and dying for him. We're not going anywhere and when we get our hands on the transcript of his testimony at trial, I can't wait for your ignorant face to CRACK when you realize your little angel is a predatory demon.

My mom told me a story about a neighbor of hers being raped when she was only 6. She said her rapist which was a neighbor as well came in and raped her, and when he finished wiped his private areas off with a wash cloth in her home and went on about his business. Do you know how disgusted I was hearing that? She said she seemed a little bit off and weird acting due to the incident. Can you imagine being 6 years old without a way to formulate being put in such a horrible situation with a person like that? And I assume that was back in the day, a little black girl subjected to rape abuse? My niece is 5 and I become a softy when she cries for not getting a piece of candy, I can only imagine the rage I'd feel if that was my 6 year old daughter. I wouldn't give a loser like that the benefit of prison, that's like vacation to him, I would kill him before the system could.

This is just the way our community operates. Black girls are not protected in the black community, because it's traditionally and morally correct, according to the black community, to protect little black boys more. Thank the religious teachings of patriarchy, misogyny and sexism for that. Now it's engraved in most black people's psyche. That's why black women are often left to fend for ourselves and fight off the wolves on our own, we have no support system, we have no corner, we have no shoulder we can cry on. According to the article we can't even depend on other black women, now that's absolutely defeating to know.I feel so bad for the young girl involved in this, no one cares about her mental stability or the corruption to it this situation is going to cause. What about her? What about her developing dysfunctional emotions of not trust men anymore, let alone black men? What about her possibly becoming addicted to drugs to ease the psychological pain of this entire incident? I despise the ever growing examples of rape culture, if you don't know what rape culture is please look it up. It really doesn't benefit black girls/women since we're often disregarded in society and often seen as unimportant.

Oh goodness. I love these Lying Genarlow Wilson supporters who keep saying his conviction was overturned...it wasn't. He filed a write of habeas corpus. Which basically means "Please court let me out!" That's all. The Georgia Supreme Court refused to reverse his conviction.

"In Weems,65 after concluding that the minimum sentence of twelve years in chains at hard labor constituted cruel and unusual punishment, the Court ruled that, because the minimum punishment was unconstitutional and because there was no other law under which Weems could be sentenced, Weems’s “judgment [had to] be reversed, with directions to dismiss the proceedings.”66 Similarly, in the present case, Wilson stands convicted of aggravated child molestation, and, as in Weems, we have determined that, under the statute then in effect, the minimum punishment authorized by the legislature for that crime is unconstitutional. Because Weems was decided on direct appeal, and the present case stems from Wilson’s habeas petition, we cannot direct the trial court to set aside the judgment and to dismiss the proceedings against Wilson. Instead, the corresponding and appropriate habeas relief would be for the habeas court to set aside Wilson’s sentence and to discharge Wilson from custody."

May 19, 2013 | Registered CommenterThe Blogmother

I'm not lying. Why didn't you print my quote from that same document:

Because the minimum punishment for the crime for which Wilson was convicted constitutes cruel and unusual punishment, this case must be remanded to the habeas court for it to enter an order reversing Wilson's conviction and sentence and discharging him from custody.   Accordingly, in Case No. S07A1481, we affirm the habeas court's judgment in part and reverse it in part.

Can you explain why they say that they are ordering his conviction reversed? And I have read where habeas courts do reverse convictions as is apparently the case here.

May 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDee Dee

They are clearly saying that it is the responsibility of the habeas court and not the trial court to reverse the conviction. But the conviction was reversed according to this document. So why to you keep calling me a liar as well as other personal insults?

May 20, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDee Dee

No Dee Dee that's not what they are saying. Since you are a legal expert and I must have been asleep during those three years if law school YOU KNOW what remand means. It means the appeals court is sending an issue back to the trial court for the trial court to decide. They say they won't reverse his conviction. You don't have to believe me. Go read the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Mr. Wilson remains a convicted felon.

May 20, 2013 | Registered CommenterThe Blogmother

And to any more of Mr. Wilson's delusional supporters who want to hang their hats on Dee Dee's intentional misquotes, read the court decision all the way to the END. Where the court clearly says they are not reversing his conviction and the trial court will have to do that... and guess what, the trial court didn't because Mr. Wilson sodomized a child under Georgia law, he did it in public and videotaped it.

The second question is, even if his conviction was reversed... which it was not... what he did was predatory and evil so why are you riding and dying for a sexual predator on a blog all. day.long.

And y'all Dee Dee has been posting up a storm. I let these final two up here to show how relentless Wilson's supporters are in their attempt to misinform the public about his case and easy to verify facts like whether his conviction was reversed.

May 20, 2013 | Registered CommenterThe Blogmother

These women act like he was just a lovers lane with his girlfriend and the big bad system pounced on him for his young love. NOOOOO. This was a sick sex party where the girls were served up like party favors.

Even if you think his sentence was harsh compared to others, especially to white boys in the area, then fine advocate for fair sentencing but to hold him up as a hero is where it turns my stomach.

If they had just stopped at hey he is getting an unfair sentence compared to what he actually did, okay. But to then say he is glorious and to minimize what happened to the 17-year-old just because it doesn't meet a legal standard when we have video of him having sex with an unconscuios girl...I've run out of words.

If this were a case of some whites brutalizing a black man on a video that still didn't meet legal standards it would be enough for the so-called black leaders to rain hell and brimstone. But when the assailent is a black male and the victim is a black female, well, to bad, so sad.
