Steve Harvey Come Get Cho' Wife (3rd)- Why Marjorie Harvey Ain't Suing NO-BODY

Oh how the tawdry weasel turns.  ( WE ARE WAITING ON UPDATES IN THAT Kelly WIlliams-Bolar CASE IN OHIO.. UNTIL THEN, more Steve Harvey.)

So on Monday, we reported that the Golden boy of ESSENCE magazine, Steve Harvey was called out via YouTube by his ex wife for his ALLEGED lying, cheating and child-stealing ways. Well now the backdraft has begun.

Occupational hazard, anytime someone threatens to "sue" my eyes instantly roll back into my head. It ain't all that hard, if your case is so strong trot your lil' self right down to the courthouse.

EXHBIT A- According to Blackvoices, Marjorie Harvey is now claiming SHE is going to sue the ex Mrs. Steve Harvey (2nd) for defamation. If you recall Mrs. Harvey (2nd) said Mrs. Harvey (3rd) was a home wrecker!

"As a wife and a mother, I cannot stand back and allow the defamation of my character or actions that will malign my family," the philanthropist said in a statement released through her attorney C. Anthony Mulrain, exclusively released to BlackVoices.com.

Philanthropist? Really? Is that what its called these days? Oh yeah, by the way C. Anthony Mulrain is promoting the fact that Gabrielle Union hired him to beat down her boyfriend's ex wife.

Among Mr. Mulrain's publicly reported favorable decisions are the defense of actress Gabrielle Union in Siohvaughn Wade v. Gabrielle Union, and the representation of basketball player Dwight Howard in Dwight Howard v. Royce Reed. C. Anthony Mulrain

He's a class act ain't he though.

A few small problems....

FIRST, Marjorie is a "public figure" on account of her never seeing a red carpet she didn't want to stroll down.  Therefore she faces a higher standard.

SECOND, Marjorie would have to prove that  her "reputation" in the community has been harmed. Well the problem with that is that Majorie's "reputation" ain't all that great.  FOR YEARS folks have been reporting that Majorie has made some interesting choices in mates.

So which is worse, being called a home-wrecking paramour or THIS allegation from The YBF in 2008? I'd repeat it here, but I don't want C. Anthony Mulrain coming for me... he likes displaying Black women's heads on his legal platter apparently. *shivers*

THIRD, and my personal favorite, is something called DISCOVERY. It means that if Majorie is saying this woman runined her "reputation" then the accused gets to go in search of just what Majorie's reputation was.  And if THIS is true, then I'm going be FRONT and CENTER at the clerk's office to order up my copies of the transcripts of the depositions in this case. Heck I can't wait until Mrs. Harvey ( 2nd)'s attorneys go to federal prison to interview the alleged spouses of Mrs. Harvey (3rd) to ask about reputation and what not.

FOURTH, Steve Harvey appears to be a control freak and a bully. He has that Chris Brown disease of poor impulse control and lack of self awareness.

THIS is not how you handle a scandal, running up to any blogger that will listen threatening to sue a woman who has nothing.

Marjorie, you won. You got the woman's husband. You got her son. You got her fame, what else do you want? her organs?

A major pet peeve is when the powerful ABUSE the judicial process to threaten and intimidate the weak. Maybe Mary Harvey is lying through her teeth, if that's the case shut up and sue, but don't send me a press release about it, just do it.

PS. The one great thing about this is that Steve Harvey's method of damage control is doing more damage than Mary ever could.

PPS. If Steve Harvey is ESSENCE magazine's golden cover boy, why didn't they get this exclusive from Marjorie.... #justsaying.

PPPS Apparently it was STEVE who trashed his ex-wife in ESSENCE that set this off.

It’s hard to put something behind you that keeps popping up in your life. When I seen the Essence magazine for January ’11 to keep seeing my name referenced when talking about his life that part I don’t understand, I really don’t. For as much as I tried to put all this behind me as I sit and talk and speak right now there’s a lawsuit that’s been filed against me in Texas because in Steve’s opinion I was responsible when Oprah did not give him a TV show. I’m being sued for that as I sit here on this sofa today. So as much as I’m trying to move forward, I keep getting pulled back into a situation I don’t want to be apart of. That is why I’m saying what I have to say.

People in glass houses.........

PPPPS. I reserve the right to be wrong. These two megalomaniacs might actually be dumb enough to move forward with this  foolishness.  My assumptions are based on logic and reason.

The poor woman looks so down trodden in the video. I hope she gets some kind of justice from this whole thing. Last year I saw Steve Harvey on TBN crying about ya’ll saying bad things about him on blogs LOL. Watch out for the lightning Gina.

@Trish oh I'm not worried about lightening. My Mama is a Sunday school teacher and we'll go all "mission circle" on him. PLUUUEEEZ. Jesus never sided with t \he powerful over the weak. Nor did Jesus run around threatening to sue folks. Plus if he's crying over what blogs said about him, that just means his reputation was already crappy, Mary didn't make it worse. God does NOT like ugly and Steve and Marjorie are looking REAL UGLY right about now. I ain't worried about those two heathens!

The sad thing is that there are women who are going to jump up and defend Steve Harvey per the Handbook: I am Psychologically Incapable of holding a Black Man Responsible for His Actions!

Mr. Harvey is popping up on all kinds of blogs over this mess he created. His current wife going to a blog to make a statement is just dumb. He will be the cause of his own demise not his 2nd ex wife. I have plenty of popcorn to watch this dramedy play out.

These people are too damn old to be this trifling and whorish! This is some Junior High isht happening and for some reason black folks entertain it. The ex wives will be seen as bitter and dejected. Steve and the current wife will be seen as saints. Stupid black women will go out and buy Steve's books and profess the gospel of relationship perfection and fidelity from a thrice married man. Women's organizations like Delta Sigman Theta and AKA will book him as p[art of their workshop series on relationships and black women.

Black folks will sing Kumbaya at the end of the day, hug each other, and talk about the Lord. The End.

I have a question. What happened to the first Mrs. Harvey?

January 26, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterEva

I think Steve may see more lawsuits to come. When something like this happens, people usually wake up and realize that they have been hoodwinked once the hear the truth from some other person's credibility and usually a dominoe affect of lawsuits happens from all those who believed in him; my marriage failed, I didn't get a man, misleading information.

What does Marjorie do, again??

Why is he suing Mary in Texas claiming that she caused Oprah not to give him a "Dr Phil" type show? He must know that such a claim would be near impossible to prove. His current wife's history alone would be sufficient reason for Oprah not to give him a show. Maybe the lawsuit was intended to serve as a way of getting Mary to stop talking - i.e., she couldn't afford a good lawyer to defend her, so she would settle this lawsuit with Steve by way of a gag order. If that was the reason, it has backfired on him badly. Can't really feel sorry for him though - funny or not, I never really had a good vibe about the guy.

".........and the walls came tumbling dooooowwnnnn!!" Everybody sing!

I don't have the exact verse, but there is a passage in the Bible about God taking the "covering" off of your mess and exposing your true self to the world. Steve Harvey - you just got "uncovered"...

All this drama ALMOST makes me want to skip this week's Young & The Restless.

But seriously, the way this is playing out is truly amazing to see. In this information age, it is very hard to hide a closet full of bones. And you're right, Blogmother, if they decide to sue E'RRYTHING is going to be out. EVERYTHING. I'm not sure if Mr. and Mrs. Third Steve Harvey really want that. #justsaying

Is all this man sharing and backstabbing/sabotaging other women these chicks answer to the black man shortage?@Mary,Marjorie,Monique and plenty of other black women.
I can't help but to think it is.EEEEWWWWWWW grooooooooooosssss btw.
I'm glad I ain't them.If I had to have a black dude I'd go and marry an unattached black dude from some other country before I'd man share or ruin some other poor black woman's life..How EVIL!

If that failed I'd try to get BSG to marry me....a girl can dream!

Can't we just quarantine all of these triflin,' low down, opportunistic, tore-up-from-the-floor-up, holding-the-race-back Negroes from the rest of us? I'm tired of breathing the same air as them...

January 26, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterShecodes

@Shecodes- If only that were possible.... but until black folks come together and admits there is a problem, stupid ish like this will continue.

I concur with the author's piece. I can tell you this: as a Black man, Steve Harvey has set the landspeed record for nerve. And then to call his current wife a philantropist? Now that's serious double-speak.

I don't understand why Black women have this idiotic Negro (Harvey) on "blast," to put it in the parlance of the streets, when a lot of these Black preachers are doing the same thing Harvey is doing (and worse) and they (Black women) support these same fried chicken-eating preachers!

See, Steve, saw that that Christian relationship and Black woman self-help/empowerment market is strong and posiitioned himself as some sort of relationship guru. Imagine that? It is about the dough ladies plain and simple.

The current wife, if she has any sense at all, should back up and chill. Folks are now digging into her background. And her background may end up hurting Steve.

In the interim, Black women should send letters to Essence in droves and let them know that you will cancel your subscriptions, etc. Why should Black women buy a magazine that is supposes to celebrate Black women and then have e Negro on the front cover who is the very antithesis of that? It is an affront to Black women and really Black folks as a whole.

Black women should not attend any conferences where his Negro is as a keynote speaker and otherwise let it be known that Harvey has crossed the damn line as evidended by the uproar on the Internet.

This is very, very, very true. He saw that there were a lot of Black women who were single, and Christian and wanted a decent man but were having trouble finding them. Instead of him saying to them, "well maybe you need to broaden your horizons beyond Black men," he has them thinking there's something very wrong with THEM and that's why they're alone.
