Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 7:16AM
The Blogmother
We've gone through considerable effort to assist those of you who are planning to participate in today's NATIONAL Day of Prayer for Kwame Kilpatrick by creating this lovely for banner in support of prayer for Y'allz boy to display on your site today. Strike that, why stop with a National Day of Prayer when you can go INTERNATIONAL! After all... Isn't Canada a hop skip and a prison break from Detroit? Happy Inter-National Prayer Day 4 Kwame! No need to thank us.

Hi-larious! I love it. Thank you for starting my day with a smile!
I'm having T-Shirts and buttons made! I will also begin manufacturing small pieces of prayer cloth soiled with the... well, nevermind.
You all are some characters.
THIS is absolute proof of the redundant nature of Black Popular Culture's space time continuum. There must be a word or term created for these types cosmic events. Of course many of us were taken by full surprise when this convergence of perverse political corruption, sex, self righteous piety, and ghetto populism occurred in the case of Marion Barry.
*Calls LaJane up to rehearse our Mime routine for tonight's rally*
Wow! Just wow!
I thought this was all a bad joke.
Now, it they make some kind of religious play about his life then I will be done (copyrighting my idea just in case somebody really thinks it's viable)
Okay, breaking my silence:
That's a DANG SHAME! AND HORRIBLEY FUNNY!
LilDiva,
YOU. ARE. A. G E N I U S!!! Who would you cast? I'm seeing Tyler Perry as Kwame and Tichina Arnold as Carlita.
DaddDurnit!! BlkSeaGoat!!!!
I hit the floor hard laughing at the mime routine comment.... dude, seriously, there are alot of comedians who need your help post haste!!!
Peace
BSG~I'm working on steps.
Tyler = Christine
Mo'nique = Y'allz Boy's Mama
Taraji Henson = Carlita
Khandi Alexander = Monica Conyers
Clifton Powell = The People of Detroit who voted for the Hip Hop Mayor
Gabourey Sidibe = The People of Detroit who are victims
The working title is "For Colored Folks Who have Considered Genocide when N~atry is Enough!"
@LaJane-
Nuh-uh...how about Jenifer Lewis as Y'allz Boy's Mama
y'all ain't even right! Sis. Gina, see what you started!
MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! :) :)
How about Berty white as his momma?
I don't agree Jacquie. Jennifer, while loud, is theatrical and methodical. Plus, getting "y'allz boy" right may do damage to her vocal chords...not good for Broadway.
Mo'nique has a certain jaynaysaykwa (yes, I mean that-watch her show) that encapsulates Cong. (I still can't believe that) Yallzboysmama.
come look at yallz boy:

Awww... he's gonna make someone a great boyfriend... as long as they are into bears... Who knows?... He may even get to be the daddy since he's so tall and big.
LaJane,
There needs to be a character named JayNaySaykwa in the play.
@LaJane....I'm liking that cast!
@ Blkseagoat& LaJane ....Jaynaysaykwa.bahahahahah you are on a roll! Ya'll aint right Ya'll aint right!
