The Palm Beach post actually has audio of the victim's testimony from Thursday in the trial of Jakarius Taylor. They also have audio from her testimony in Walker and Poindexter's trials as well. I'm not going to listen to it, but it is there for those who feel the need.
Avion Lawson rebutted Taylor's defense that Taylor just happened to be around and was there to convince his friend to leave when Taylor tripped and his penis fell out of his pants. Whatever!
Avion said they went to that apartment that night for one reason:
In addition Taylor was identified as the person to hold a gun on the 12 year old son and hit him over the head. Lawson also said that Taylor searched for a lighter to set the mother and son on fire.

But while Marie and her son testified that the youths demanded money, Lawson said his friends had only one thing on their mind: "We're going to get some."
Two others - 20-year-old Tommy Poindexter and 18-year-old Nathan Walker - were convicted last month. They face life in prison. Two others Lawson said participated in the attack haven't been charged.
Assistant State Attorney Craig Williams asked Lawson the question that has haunted many: "Did you guys care about what happened to Marie?"
"Guess not," Lawson answered in a monotone. "They started it."
"How about you? Did you care?" Williams continued.
"After it was over with, yeah, I thought about it." Palm Beach Post.

Gina,
Closing arguents will be held at noon. Chris Haddad, the attorney representing Jakaris Taylor has decided to forgo a defense.
geez, just send JT to jail for life and find the other two (or whoever else) that did this crime against humanity and send them to jail for life as well. :(
Jury has the case. Closing arguments ended.
cj (SON) and Marie(mother) testified to the contrary. What Avion did do was destroy the premise of the defense which was that Jakaris went in to stop it and was forced to participate because he feared for his life. Jakaris had the intent "of getting some"
Jakaris Taylor found guilty on all 13 counts.
I'm glad he was found guilty and I hope he get life in prison, but I'm still not cheering. :( :( :(
Rev Mam, I understand... The verdict doesn't chnage what happened, but at least justice at least with the four has been served.
Taharkah,
We still have to find Melvin Young, Augustus Fontaine, and 4 other people still at large.
I take small consolation in the fact that 4 little bastards have been brought to justice... wE'VE GOT SIX MORE TO FIND...
Can we get Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, et.al, to put together a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest AND conviction of the other six ? :(
In a place where the police had to be called on average 2 times a day in the course of a year they should have had 24/7 police presence. I read somewhere the city was considering bulletproof lights so they wont have to replace them as much. If that is necessary there should have been something done to protect the human beings living there from the "people" causing all of the crime.
Six more sociopaths are out on the lose and I hope they get caught and brought to justice soon. I still can't believe that no one called police when they heard the screaming or the comment about how "so, a lady got raped, big deal."
In agreement with comment #10. They ALL need to speak up about this.
