WEST PALM BEACH - In a surprise move, the youngest of the four teens charged in the June 2007 armed gang rape on a mother and her 12-year-old son at the Dunbar Village public-housing complex pleaded guilty this morning to 14 criminal charges and has agreed to testify against his co-defendants.
State guidelines call for a minimum prison term of 49 years, but defense attorney Bert Winkler said he will ask the judge for leniency.
"Avion wants very much to do the right thing," Winkler said. "He's taking responsibility for everything he did and is going to cooperate fully with the state and testify if called."
Avion Lawson, now 16, faces up to 11 life sentences at his October sentencing, but his attorney will ask Circuit Judge Krista Marx for leniencey based on Lawson's promise of cooperation.
The state offered no plea deals, according to testimony at this morning's hearing, where Lawson pleaded guilty as charged, including to eight counts of sexual battery by multiple perpetrators with a firearm while wearing a mask.
If you will note this defendant is 16 years old right now which means he was FOURTEEN when he allegedly committed this heinous act. I am thinking about the other 14 year-old in Arizona who's been charged with luring an 8 year-old with gum into a gang-rape with three others.
Don't be surprised as the depravity of the greater disease within the "black community" excuse of criminality claims more children at a younger age where they literally become a menace to other children, especially girls and women.

OK.. I'm completely disgusted. This animal should not get any leniency. I'm sorry if this was a white young lady brutally raped and beaten, folks would be asking for the death penalty.
If you post an update link with address and email info of the DA or judge. I will write whoever I need to write to demand that they not give this little punk any kind of leniency. If you want to act like a crazed lunatic then you need to be treated like one. You do not rape a mother and brutalize her son and then make the mother perform sex acts on her child and GET ANY LENIENCY.
I'm disgusted that the black community AL Sharpton & company always runs to defend these fools.

And Miss Thang, it's obvious (at least to me) that there IS no black community. And hasn't been for some time.
Otherwise these atrocities wouldn't be escalating (and they ARE escalating) and the complete silence of the misleaders wouldn't be so deafening.

Because the information being shared (such as encouraging BW to get OUT of these Hell Holes as soon as possible) is literally LIFE saving and is slowly being spread offline.
Where it really matters to individual BW and their children or children to be.
This important message of pursing LIFE, HEALTH, RECIPROCAL LOVE and NORMALITY MUST continue to be spread online and off.
Because the majority in the "black community" will continue to have their heads in the sand concerning issues related to the well being, protection, and health of Black women and black children.
This reminds me of a recent case in Britain. Three Black men brutally raped a Black teenager. She was fifteen or sixteen, but is mentally challenged and has the mental capacity of a nine-year-old. They photographed the act on their mobile phones and afterwards threw caustic soda (lye) on her to destroy the DNA absent. She survived but is now burnt and scarred over 50% of her body.
They only received something like six to eight years each for their crime.
That should be DNA evidence.
Leniency= 10 life instead of 11. Avion doesn't need to be out ever again.
