What About Solutions: Super Jane

Each Wednesday we like to take a break from foolishness and chicanery to highlight people who are doing their part to combat the War on Black Women and girls. Once again, we are highlighting someone for being creative.
This week, I am highlighting someone who I think is one of my friends on Facebook, otherwise I shouldn't be getting their messages :). Her name is Vivki Frederick and she has some association with urbanrascals.com. I clicked on the link and it took me to a Youtube trailer of series called "Super Jane." Its a live action / animation series featuring a 9 year old African American girl named Keke in the lead. She's a super heroine. Jade Turgel is the Director
Blogs and comments are great, but the battle for the hearts minds and souls of young Black people is going to be waged by people who can pair their values with creativity. The Regime has no problem being creative. We need to be creative too.

Ooooh snap! This is fantastic! You are absolutely right about creativity used in the right way! WE NEED MORE OF THIS TYPE OF STUFF! We have (in the black community) a hundred sitcoms and millions of movies and they are all catered to adults - it's about time to do something POSITIVE for our children! GREAT!
i agree with you, justme. our daughters need to see more stuff like this. how can we rise together as a community if there is a division between the old and the young. we all need to be on the same wavelenght to acheive better.
I don't find more super Jane stuff. Did it go to cable?
We have to be creative. Our kids have to creative options. We tell them don't watch this or don't do that, but we do not give them an alternative.
