Friday Foolishness and Chicanery: Awaiting the Arrival of Little "Sandra Rose Obama"

First, we had TY, the Beanie Baby manufacturer calling all of the American people stupid fools to our faces by trying to convince us that their new dolls, Malia and Sasha, were NOT inspired by the weeMichelles. It is just a coincidence that the only Black dolls EVER were named after the weeMichelles. Yeah Right.
Then Juan Williams Says Michelle Obama “Stokely Carmichael-in-a-designer-dress “- A Liability. I mean he is working HARD for that check from FOX News! Juan has seen the writing on the wall, journalists are dropping like flies so he has to preserve livelihood by comparing FLOTUS Michelle Obama to a man.
Speaking of Fox, they went back to FLOTUS Michelle Obama's hischool and dug up Michelle’s High School Yearbook.
The poor leader of the Black Artists Association who complained about Michelle Obama not wearing a Black designer at the inauguration revealed that the Black Artists Association doesn't even represent Black designers and they have been getting death threats since the remarks. I bet they wish folks were singing "Kum Ba Ya" right about now. But seriously people, chill out.
Reporters keep pushing the meme that FLOTUS Michelle Obama is a high voodoo priestess who is exercising mind control over President Obama.
Tim Shipman: “Michelle Obama: the real power behind the presidency”. Yeah we know how all that "co-President" stuff went for Hillary Clinton. First Lady Obama isn't going to play Wiley Cayote to the media's Road Runner. Beep! Beep!
Baby Bump Watch
I started seeing pregnancy rumors pop up on the gossip blogs because delusional American's everywhere believe that they are seeing FLOTUS Michelle Obama sporting a "baby bump". Nope folks, that was body armor. Folks have been spotting baby bumps as far back as June when FLOTUS Michelle Obama sported the purple Maria Pinto dress. If she was pregnant back then, the baby would be teething in the womb by now.
Rumors of Michelle Obama’s pregnancy have been swirling around D.C. for weeks. Yet neither Michelle or Barack have denied the rumor leading to more rampant speculation. It isn’t like they aren’t aware of the rumors. We know Michelle reads the blogs.Anyway, congrats to them. And I might add that if it’s another girl: Sandra Rose Obama has a nice ring to it. Y'all have fun running around looking for little green men, a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, calorie-free chocolate, diet pills that help you lose 20 pounds in one week, and imaginary FLOTUS baby bumps. Have a great weekend folks!

I pray that the media will eventually tire of covering every little aspect of the Obama's life. While I don't agree with most of Obama's politics I want their family, especially Michelle and the girls, to have as close to a normal life as possible.
I want to go on the record as saying that I hate the terms FLOTUS, POTUS, SCOTUS. Every time I see it I want to scream. Am I the only one?

I need to email you today with a link to a very well written piece about our young black women, why they're considered "unrapeable," and the history of this attitude towards Black girls.
She was obviously wearing a bullet-proof vest during the swearing in ceremony. I don't know why anyone would think she is pregnant.
FYI, after women have children they rarely get the wash-board abs back. Some do but most don't.
This is going to be a loooooooooong 4-8 years. With the economy and job market being what it is, how do folks even have time to fixate on baby bumps? I swear, America's priorities are STILL messed up.
HB I am not surprised, you ask some BW about what Michelle wore they will give you an essay, if you ask them what they think of the stimulus bill they have no idea what the hell is going on.
It would be cool if they decided to have another kid but I was thinking how stressful that would be. Some so-called Black News wire on Twitter posted it as well and when I asked them to provide their sources they ignored me. Hmph! I expect similar foolishness the next 4-8 though if he gets reelected maybe they'll get bored. She is not trying to pull a Hillary. I know the love the Obamas have for each other is the source of awe and envy for most.

And if she was so what I want to scream. She's successful, attractive, intelligent, married, appears to be a loving and caring mom, and if an unstable woman can have 14, Mrs. Obama can do whatever she desires. These people need to go far away...
I read a really interesting and intelligent piece on Michelle today on Black Politics on the Web.
Quite frankly, this is the first time I have read anything that indicates Michelle might be pregnant. *sigh* Gossip generates readership.
I'm vibing on how Michelle is moving like she wants to. I love that about her. I love individuality. She is definitely a sistah who is going to do what is right for her and the weeMichelles.
As far as the rest of the nonsense goes-it is annoying as heck to read the musings of simple minds. But on the other hand-they need something to keep them occupied.
If Michelle is pregnant (And I agree with you Cinco, so what if she is? It is no crime!) and has another girl, that means there would be FIVE sistas in the White House! I am cool with that WOO HOO!
My niece (17 yrs. old and who absolutely loves the Obamas) would have been thrilled a few months back if it turned out that Mrs. Obama was pregnant. To her, it showed their love and she felt it would be great that they had a baby born in the White House. As a mother of two, I had to break it down to her. Having children, especially a baby is *hard work*. It's hard on the body, mind and spirit and honestly, unless Mrs. Obama is expressing a desire to have another baby, no one should be wishing that on her. She's got her two and they are big girls. She's put in her work. Let her be.
