God Sends Cease and Desist Letter to Clifford Harris (T.I)

January 22, 2009, Pearly Gates, HEAVEN. Yesterday scores of social media outlets reported the recent comment of Clifford Harris a jail-bound musical artist who goes by the stage name, T.I.  Harris attributed various forms of debauchery and mayhem to The Lord Almighty. Harris said,

“I want to thank God for somehow … I know he perfect. So I’mma thank him for everything. I’mma thank him for making me drop out of school. I’mma thank him for making me run the streets. I’mma thank him for making me sell crack. I’mma thank him for making me have shoot-outs. I’mma thank him for allowing me to watch my partners die in my arms, So I’d be fearful enough for my life and paranoid enough to go out and cop machine guns and silencers so I catch a fed case and I have to put up $3 million for my bond so I have to spend seven months of my life in my house, so I have to spend a year of my life in prison just so I be validated enough to get out there and touch the youth because they know that I done been through it, and if I say it, it means something. You know what I’m saying?”

When reached by the Associated Press for comment, representatives from Heaven issued a swift denial of Mr. Harris' assertions and late last evening their counsel sent a cease and desist letter to Mr. Harris demanding that he stop defaming their client.

It has come to our attention that once again, an Atlanta resident is attempting to lay blame at God Almighty's feet for their actions.  The Lord has not now nor has he ever condoned, promoted, or defended drug dealing or indiscriminate shooting. While violence has at times been authorized, our client doesn't condone violence behind foolishness and nonsense. While we look forward to beginning a dialog with Mr. Harris as part of the Lord's long standing prison ministry, we would prefer that he refrain from attributing a litany of his bad acts to us.

When reached for comment regarding God Almighty's statment, Satan's spokesperson refused to comment as it is not the policy of Hell to publicy address human resources matters.

Where, and when was Clifford quoted giving this speech?? I have never heard him speak this way!! I am a big fan of T.i. and I believe what he said was taken out of content.. Those of us who had it rough growing up tend to put the blame on someone, soon he will realize it was the almighty that gave him his talents his beautiful children and all his success.. Is there a place in the Bible where there is talk about forgivness, understanding, helping others find their way. Or is there only talk in the Bible of bitterness and accusations? Long and sad traveled road might be just the medicine for Mr. Clifford Harris. If nothing else, we learn from him, what not to do. Forgive.

Barbara there is lots about forgiveness... it is the stage right after someone repents of their sins.

So one might conclude tha after slanging "rocks" that poisioned or community, you might steer clear of autimatic weapons... especially if you are a convicted felon.

Perhaps there is hope in opening Clifford’s eyes, when he opens his mouth, to tell the other kids not to do what he has done, then only to realize, someone has been telling him just the same thing, for many years. Bitter sweet success. Perhaps there is a way to his heart and his mind. Let's hope this is the last for him. His life is as precious as anyone else’s in Gods eyes, and I hope that in our eyes it is also. I have never seen anything come to resurrection through hate. I personally prefer love even when it fails momentarily. At the end it is still all out of love of God. We don't always have to understand it. Just accept it. Fight for what is right, kick as hard as you can and I can see that you are. Try to make it right, as you are doing. Perhaps conversations like this will make a difference at the end.
I am sorry if this does not make any sense. I am not smart or have knowledge of these things, but I always believed and practice simple rule “I practice understanding and patience first for a very long time before I give up, if that fails, then, I learn from that and begin to doubt and criticize and act accordingly based on the knowledge I have accumulated, I keep each individual situation just that “individual””.
