Ludacris Accepts Position With McCain Campaign - Obama Denounces
Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 9:02PM
The Blogmother “Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant,” declared Luda on the track titled “Politics: Obama is Here” Ludacris ( hat tip Sandra Rose)
I saw this earlier today at Sandra Rose. It is a new "song" from Ludacris. Oh this is sure to go over well in the flyover states. Ig'nant. These merchants of misogyny don't have the sense God gave a chicken. Anything for a dollar and a bisquit.
For his part, Barack Obama quickly denounced Ludicris.

For his part, Barack Obama quickly denounced Ludicris.
“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today
too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he
doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only
outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain,
and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our
children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented
individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
Sandra pretty much sums up this clear cry for attention:
Expect Luda’s publicist to issue a carefully worded prepared statement apologizing for his “unintended” offensive lyrics in 5…4….3…2 Sandra RoseYeah right. Unintended? Its going to be a long hot summer. Folks are we really ready for prime time?

What can be done if the song sells? Somebody's going to put it on youtube and who would be listening. What age group. Obama's statement here is right on point. Shameful.
In light and love

CO-SIGN.
Oh yeah and UGH!!!
We are going to be so sick of them by the time November comes around. They can't be THIS ignorant! Where are the acolytes when you need them?
Gina, CNN website got an article headline calling bw an endangered species
http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/07/30/bia.hiv.irpt/index.html
I advise Obama to stay away from all black entertainers who have come along in the past 15 years. He might want to call up the old Motown artists if he is looking for some celebrity support.
Naima,
I saw that and have written the post already. It is gong up tomorrow morning. I am pretty dadgum sure Soledad "Black PROBLEMS in America" wrote that.
They still don't get it. We aren't endangered due to a disease of the body, we are endangered due to a disease of the mind.
You wonder if some of these rappers read the news or watch something on tv other than videos. "ignant" is right.
Ignat is right. I can already imagine all of the ways this is going to be used as fodder for McCain and his camp. What was Luda thinking? Oh that's right...silly me.
I cringe evrytime i hear a hip hop artist use Barack's name and hope that as few white people see it as possible... if u watch yung jeezy's video

it seems as if blacks are waiting for Barack to be their savior. this mentality is playing into the fears of whites (read Jon Voight's remarks)
http://www.bossip.com/21860/ho-sit-down-28/
that blacks are angry and want to use an Obama presidency as retribution and payback. Fox News has already painted him as anti-american and militantly black. Anyone with desent sense knows that he is for everyone. i feel like hip hop and any black contigency should just let obama breathe until he is actually president. I plan to write a post for this on my blog. thanx for the inspiration!
I told y'all we were going to have to put all famous black folks into suspended animation until after the election. Hell no we're not ready for a our close-up.
I told y'all we were going to have to put all famous black folks into suspended animation until after the election.
Suspended animation is too complicated, let's just drop them off somewhere in the Alaskan wilderness.
You've got a point Gina. At the rate these fools are popping off I'd have work 24 hours a day to put the freeze on them. And we do have all that lovely pristine wilderness in ANWR.
What's the big deal? Glenn Beck called Hillary a "Stereotypical Bitch". Magician Penn Jillette said that Barack Obama did well in February because it was Black History Month and Hillary Clinton did well in March because it was "White Bitch Month". Tina Fey called Hillary a "bitch" on Saturday Night Live and said that she is having trouble because "Bitch Is The New Black". Larry David said of Hillary: "Keep that crazy bitch off the phone".
So why the negative reaction toward Ludicris? And how many people have referred to Bush as "retarded"?
Does Luda have a new movie, cd, or energy drink coming out??? I think black people are so excited at the prospect of having a black president, that some of them are partically loosing their minds! Betweeen Luda, Rev. Wright, Jessie, Bernie Mac...who is next to get into the news because of catching a case of BBD (Bringing Barack Down)?? I think some of these people know this may not ever happen again and want to be part of the google search on Obama. They are smiling in his face and then drop kicking him by saying some really stupid stuff. I almost hope Obama stays away from black celeberties...Except Oprah..
These Black male rappers/comedians/whatever bring their pathologies and their gender biases with them wherever they go. So it should come as no surprise that they continue to act like fools.
Does this incident with Luda remind anyone with an older relative of the following: "Alright, you think your child is 'cute' behaving like this right now, but one day he'll embarrass you."?
We should have told (no, showed) these "tired" brothers that their disrespectful to female songs were part of the crippling of our community years ago. Some things you have to end before they begin.
Well...
I called her a Bitch a few times myself.
Hey, if the shoe fits...
Where have you been hiding JJ? I was waiting for you to pop in here with a different perspective.
I always believed that Obama's cozy relationship with this urban terrorist would come back to bite him. Now it looks like the chickens are coming home to roost. When that photo of Obama & "Luda" came out some time ago, I couldn't understand it. Why would any decent human want to be seen with him? It all centered around a meeting between the two...resulting in the photo op. It might have been an attempt by the "O" man to get in touch with Black youth. (But there were so many other ways....better ways that he could have done this).
It's not about what "Luda" was thinking... he is just being himself. No surprise there at all. The question should be, what was Barack Obama thinking?
And now Obama wants to try to distance himself from him when the reporters come around? Too late. Now all of a sudden Obama is concerned about this thugs lyrics???? Give me a break!
One thing that Obama does not do too well is get to know the people around him, understand the risk of having certain people around him, and providing the proper distance from the start. He tends to get tangled up in these problems pretty easily and then has to work overtime trying to wiggle out of em', even when these entanglements are preventable. There should have been plenty of warning signs from an urban terrorist and Rap star who has produced some of the most degenerate material that has come from the Rap World in recent years. Couldn't he have found someone else to latch onto? I mean, these rappers are all trash to me, but some are further down in the barrel than others. He scraped the bottom to get Luda. Isn't there Common, Erykah Badu, and a few others who produce something a little more worthy?
I just hope Obama isn't this careless and isn't this bad a judge of character when/if he becomes President of these divided States.
Nas has an entire song about Obama (tastefully and thoughtfully written) on his new album. Despite the controversy over the original album title "Ni**er" and the subject of most of the songs ( the historical and current significance of this concept) this is an album that every person of color must listen to.
I must say I've given up most secular music. Once you take away the sex, violence, and anger - all that's left is the beat. So, I listen to gospel and instrumentals. It's just less stressful and more hopeful. When I was younger, songs used to make more sense. Of course, my parents probably thought the same thing. I don't buy it. I tell my children not to buy it. I'm sure they won't always listen to me. But, I feel I at least have the obligation to let them know how little I think of some music and musicians. They may not listen to me today. But, maybe it'll ring a bell when they have children.
@Gem...
Been XTRA busy. LOL.
My take:
I feel like Black America has been put on hold until Obama gets elected. We are not to resume any of are regularly scheduled activities until the O-Man gets in the White House.
Anything (which is about everything) that could possibly, maybe, in some small way harm the O's chances at being elected must stop immediately.
Unfortunately that puts (almost) the entire Black Entertainment Industrial Complex out of business until after November's elections.
Why is everybody shocked that Ludacris made a song that (some) many will find offensive?
You are aware he is a Southern rapper...right?
If a Ludacris song is going to derail Obama's presidency then America is really NOT ready for a Black president.
Lighten up folks.
It's going to be a long hot summer (and early fall).
"Anything for a dollar and a biscuit" That made me laugh out loud! Yes, it's basically looking for attention and $$$$.
Great Blog.

"You are aware he is a Southern rapper...right?"
I think I must've missed a comment. I'm not sure what this is meant to imply.
