Thank you Gina and all of the sponsors, photographers, videographers, and bloggers for making BWB a success. I had a great time, learned a lot, and connected with many good people. I look forward to participating in BWB 2009. Many blessings. Ananda

Congratulations Gina and everyone! Elisa Camahort Page got to represent BlogHer this year, but I have first dibs on BWB 2009...

Thank you Lisa! We had fun and I think she may have gotten half the room addicted to Twitter. We may have to have an intervention for the Twitterholics.

Not only do I appreciate BlogHer being one of our founding sponsors, I learned a lot about conference planning going forward from some of Elisa's advice.

Gina, thanks again for putting this conference together. It was needed and I'm definitely looking forward to it being in Dallas next year ;)

HAHAHA!

You Dallas folks are relentless. We'll see. We are waiting on those surveys and I think I am going to take Shawn's suggestion that we allow people to put together proposals to host the conference. Dallas has a lot of strong points, mainly that the people from the East coast and the West coast both travel for about the same amount of time.

Keep lobbying. I don't know of any other city that has pushed harder than Big D. You do realize that conference planning is exhausting? Be careful what you wish for.

Congratulations...

I did not have the resources to go...(and I hate to travel), but I am glad to see that so many turned out and that everything went well.

Thank you, Gina! I want to be on the planning committee for next year.

Cheers,
Carmen D.

Thanks, Gina. We are sisters for life.

It was a pleasure to meet so many great minds. The energy was great.

Let's start planning next year's conference in Dallas. :-)

Keep it up in Atlanta - start a tradition - Atlanta is a major hub for the US and most black bloggers are in the NE and SE... I hate that i missed this year

Looks like it was a great conference

After the HELLACIOUS time I had getting around the downtown detours just to get on the free way ( we're talking TWO HOURS!), just hearing the word Atlanta makes me flinch. I am still sitting in an airport trying to get home. So um, Atlanta ain't at the top of the list right about now.

Spread the love around. Other bloggers want to show you their town.

No decision has been made regarding the location or time. I need a couple of days to decompress.

Gina, great job! The conference was excellent. I enjoyed most the spirit of openness that pervaded the conference.

First things first, Gina I have to give you a standing ovation because you didn't have to, but you saw a need and you executed. I can't tell you how great that makes me feel, and you are certainly someone I look up to and admire. I know from event planning that it takes dedication, and once you start the project becomes your child, and you are consumed with details, as well as making it a success. A success it was.

I agree with holding it in Dallas, next year, it's a lot of us here, and if you need me to do anything I will help. I have spread myself thin this year, but I would be honored to help you in any capacity.

Keep doing what you're doing, because it's needed. Once again CONGRATS and I'm just so PROUD that we have black women like you to look up to...

The conference was a prime example of socially conscious folks being more than writers. Y'all became doers. Congratulations on your efforts!

If you ever decided to host from Flint, Michigan...uh...don't. :)

Bravo Gina!

Thank you for your vision, commitment and tenacity. The Digital Renaissance Movement is on and these photos and video are serving to document it all.

It was my pleasure representing 3 Brothers and A Sister at the conference, as well as moderating the "hot" media panel! :)

Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2009 and count 3BAAS Media Group in for helping in anyway we can.

July 28, 2008 | Unregistered Commenter3BAAS

hahahaha "hot" is that how you are describing that panel? It was something else alright. But it uncovered something that is clearly on the minds of everyone there.

Gina - Wondeful job sista! I had a great time and I look forward to attending next year at any location ... and next year I'm leaving my suit & tie at home!!

After moderating the media panel at the Blogging While Brown conference, Blogtalkradio's Kevin Ross invites everyone to continue the discussion about some of the issues that were raised in Atlanta. Guests include Pam Spaulding from Pam's House Blend, Shawn Williams of Dallas South Blog, tech expert Norbert Horvath, and Internet publicist Jonnice Slaughter.

That's Wednesday July 30th at 7:30pm (west coast time) on The Kevin Ross Show. And Gina, I'm looking forward to your BTR show with Necole Bitchie and Clarissa Goodlett from Color of Change. The more we all talk up BWB, the better!
