Blogging While Brown Mini-Conference Video- Launch of Twitterholics Anonymous

Untitled from Gina McCauley on Vimeo.

Our incredible conference videographer, Deborah Jones from D. Jones Productions cranked out this mini conference video with some interviews and mini conference highlights. More video coming soon, but she worked long into the night to get this out to us. I appreciate it. If you have a conference or event that you want taped, I highly recommend D. Jones out of Atlanta.

The video features Tamera from Black Life by GLAM, Necole Bitchie from NecoleBitchie.com and The Urban Blogger, AJ from CommonSense Media, Chris Raab from Afro Netizen, Elisa Camahort Page from BlogHer, and James Harris.

Twitterholics Anonymous

I am now forming a Blogging While Brown Twitterholics Anonymous. I believe we got some people hooked on the tweeting this weekend. Why can't I quit you Twitter??? I actually didn't tweet as much as I wanted to, but I have gone back to read other people's twitter streams.

Some of the folks who I know were Twittering:
Shawn from Dallas South Blog
ElisaC from BlogHer
Wayne aka "Villager" from Electronic Village
AT Alien from Straight from the A
Pam from Pam's House Blend
Theo from Theo talks ( he also did Ustream)

Congratulations on the conference Gina. As soon as I finish my workout, I'm going to look at all of the video.

Also, welcome to Twitterholics Anonymous! I am a proud member with a Twitter for each of my sites http://www.twitter.com/55secretstreet" REL="nofollow"> 55 Secret Street , http://www.twitter.com/anovelista" REL="nofollow"> Anovelista and

I tried to follow the conference on Twitter but I didn't know who to follow and some didn't update so much.

Alas, life prevented me, Gina, from dropping everything and making my way to Atlants for the BWB conference. But I've been able to catch as much of the conference as I can here on Twitter. Thanks to you Twitterites who made this possible for the rest of us.

Congrats to all!!!

I'm a little confused. What exactly is Twitter and its uses? Can you only use it if you are a blog owner?

@Selena - No, you don't have to be a blogger to use Twitter. Twitter is a service where you can communicate with your friends and other people with quick, semi-frequent updates.

A lot of bloggers use it - but so do many other people who just read blogs - as another way to stay connected with their readers and friends and make new ones. It enables you to automatically post blog updates and links to other interesting articles. A lot of people also post pictures and video. For instance, I may post one of Gina's posts or an article I read online as a way to give it more exposure.

Hope that helps. You can take a look at anyone's Twitter account to get a better idea. You can also see other Twitter users on the right side of their profile.
