Michelle Obama Depicted Being Tortured: Liberal Bloggers Lose Their Ever Loving Minds

UPDATE(5/25): The creator of this foolishness has responded to critics. If you thought this image was a demonstration of his absolute ignorance, wait until you read his response to criticism.
What was going to your mind when you imagined a Michelle Obama being hung from a tree right before being branded with a hot branding iron that reads "Uppity Liberal?" How did you fix your mind to convince yourself that putting this image up was a smart or persuasive thing to do
No your eyes are not deceiving you, that is Michelle Obama's photoshopped face in that photo. A DailyKos diarist named ONECITIZEN created this. I get the point they were trying to make, Michelle Obama is being criticized by the GOP for numerous things, but really what was going to your mind when you imagined Michelle Obama being tortured by the Klan? SECURITY CALLING SECURITY! To be clear, REPUBLICANS did not create this,a liberal "progressive" blogger created this foolishness.
You can see the original screen capture from Dailykos by going here. It has since been taken down by the site's owner, but not before 155 people commented on the lunacy.
Barack Obama finally stepped up and told folks to leave his wife alone this week, about three months after the "proud of my country" flap where I quite frankly didn't think he defended her enough. In fact, I think he kind of left her hanging OUT THERE.

Dear liberal "progressive" bloggers, you don't have to create fictionalized depictions of Black women being tortured. How about you spend some time talking about the Black women in this country that are ACTUALLY being tortured. Not in Africa or Asia, or South America, but right here in THIS country. Romona Moore, Ebony Dorsey, Daniyah Jackson, Dunbar Village, and Dorothy Dixon among many others.
I have the feeling we'll have our hands full just covering Michelle Obama incidents just like this Dailykos foolishness all summer long.

Excuse my language, but WTF?
The imagery of Michelle is a form of lyching in my opinion.
I'm an old school sistah and that damn red dress is symbolic of a mentality that has loomed over our heads for centuries. A black woman in a red dress symbolizes the traditional belief about our sexuality. We are loose no matter what station in life we hold.
I am an Obama supporter but, I am also of the opinion that Barack should of spoke up sooner on her behalf.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! This is highly offensive and just reaffirms my belief that racial foolishness knows no political affiliation.

The Daily Kos is full of idiots like the one mentioned. Those are the kinds of Liberal crazies who they actually allow to help run their site. I know from first hand experience... I have dealt with my fair share of crazy wingnuts from the Daily Kos. So this doesn't surprise me. This kind of material is par for the course on that particular web forum. And yes... i'm sure they actually believe that this kind of depiction was a good idea.... in their small minds.
But it was still a shock to the Central Nervous System to see that so early in the morning.
This is only the beginning... that poor family will have to endure all kinds of good ole American craziness between now and November (and throughout an Obama Presidency if he somehow- through some miracle- actually wins the General Election).
The FBI is going to have to come up with a separate unit just to deal with the kind of racist laced nonsense that will be forthcoming, especially from Southern "Conservatives". The Secret Service already has a unit for investigating domestic threats...but I assure you...they'll have to double or triple the size of that office.
This is what they (we) are going to have to deal with.

Kos has endorsed Obama, and most of his followers have endorsed Obama. I don't think they give a rat's ass about black women or racism in America. They want to have the benefit of being the cool whites who endorses the black guy while still utilising their racism to dehumanise people they truly feel are inferior.
This has been one of the main complaints among many of the CLinton supporters. Many of the white Obama supporters love to point the finger at other whites and call them racists while sitting on their racism like it ain't no problem.
Yes, I'm afraid a lot of shit is going to come out. But they want get called on most of it, because they support Obama. The blame will fall on the Republicans or Clinton supporters.

Many times white liberals and progressives are lacking an extraordinary amount of self-awareness and because they perceive themselves to be so down for the cause, they are oblivious to their inherently racist attitudes.
I know this to be the case with white GLBT people. They believe that since they too are oppressed that they could NEVER possibly be an oppressor of other folks...albeit symbolic.
The picture is disgusting and further reinforces my contempt for many white liberals.

I think there are plenty of racist nut cases in what you may consider more liberal parts of the US. What's worse is their smarter, angrier, and have too much time on their hands...
I actually am not upset with the time it took for Obama to come out in defense of Michelle. He is running a political campaign afterall, and public statements need to be considered, in regards to everything. I am actually happily surprised he felt the need to defend her.
As for the liberal whites, you know they can not stand up and defend black women for the same reason the NAACP can't. It attacks their primary endangered minority. Furthermore, it is almost inappropriate for them to specifically attack this issue since we haven't conclusively decided as a community that we want to protect our women and children. As Riley from Boondocks says, "I'm just sayin'!!"
I personally think that if Obama had come out in defense of Michelle when O'Reilly made his comments, this may not have happened. People saw that there was no consequence to going after Obama's wife. I am not surprised that this was created by a so-called liberal white blogger. White racism knows no party boundaris.

What is the NEXT STEP for those of us who are outraged that will ELIMINATE KKK imagery and defilement of black women appearing online to intimidate and demean? Do we have any recourse? The blogger DID take the image down but THAT doesn't mean this will not occur again!
