BLack Folks Get Ready to FIGHT! AL Sharpton to Speak Out in Defense of Dunbar Village Gang Rapist

You know how all these months we couldn't get anyone in the Black Elite Establishment or the Civil Rights Industrial Complex to speak out about the Dunbar Village gang rape? How we pointed out the sick mental illness of Black leaders who will speak out on behalf of criminals, but never on behalf of the victims of Black on Black crime? Well it has happened again! Now Al Sharpton couldn't be bothered to speak out about the RAPE, but apparently he has no problem speaking out on behalf of the alleged gang rapists!

In West Palm Beach, Sharpton also will condemn the "unfair" treatment of the suspects in the Dunbar Village assaults, said the Rev. William Richardson, the Florida director of the National Action Network.Richardson said Sharpton would compare the treatment of the Dunbar Village suspects, who are black, and the teenage suspects in the Boca Raton gang rape. Palm Beach Post
Guess what, nobody had to beg, plead or scream with him about it either. Just an FYI. I will address this later because I'm trying not to blog angry. Let's be clear Black women and concerned Black men, Sharpton is doing this on purpose to send a message. We hear you Reverend!!! I had recently been wondering if I had anything left to say after almost a year of blogging- I guess I was wrong. Thanks Rev. Al for the inspiration!

Essential Presence breaks it down.

Somehow I'm not surprised...disappointed yes, but not surprised.

I think this just proves what we already know, Al Sharpton and company can't or won't come to the aid of those injured by people who look like us. Perhaps he feels that's just not his fight.

Since I don't know his entire history, I won't go so far as to say he hasn't had any positive impact on issues facing Black American, but there are some serious gaps in his approach. I think more and more, the responsibility will fall to us, the bloggers and the regular members of our society to raise our voices, open our purses and take other action when needed.

Apparently Mr. Sharpton, like a lot of us suffers from a form of post traumatic stress that in others causes them to inflict unspeakable violence and hatred toward their own, but in his case, affects his ability to clearly see that sometimes We are the enemy and need to be pursued as (in fact maybe more) vigorously as the "establishment".

Mr Sharpton is not suffering from post traumatic stress. He, like just about all of the other money changers in the Civil Rights complex, is throwing his weight around against black women who dare to stand up for themselves.

He is 'showing' us where his allegiances lie. Frankly, I am glad that he is being so blatant about it. It makes it much easier for me to convince his female supporters to walk away from his support base.

I loathe Al Sharpton and have since the day I saw him handcuffed to Tawanna Brawley at the Democratic National Convention. Using that poor child to elevate himself into national prominence.

Nothing he does or says can make me loathe him any further. He's nothing more than a sexist, misogynistic race pimp. A breed that has been at the forefront of the Civil Rights Industrial Complex for some time now. I don't support him or any of his brethren and sincerely hope he develops the pox with suppurating sores (if he hasn't already). That is all.

Ditto Roslyn. I refuse to call them Rev. I do that on purpose and tell my friends why I do not. They are sorry excuses for Christian examples I have ever seen. The Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil. They are the epitome of this.

When he backed out of attending a forum at Dunbar Village at the last minute I knew then the reason given (plane delays) was a bold faced lie.

Any bp that follows these people are absolutely some of the most ignorant people on earth.

There's a pattern he's following, he seem to only care about standing up for black men who do wrong. But what about our black women?

I am so disgusted, I don't know what to do. What? Unfair treatment? I am through with him and the othe so called black organization. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Rapists being treated unfairly. This reminds of Professor Tracey's post on yesterday. I'm with any protest or boycott y'all have against this fool.

Ok, whatever little respect I had for Al Sharpton just flew out the window. No longer will he get my support or endorsement because he obviously does not care about the safety and welfare of black women and children. All he cares about is lining his pockets.

It's really all so clear to me now. The only person Rev. Sharpton stands up for is himself. This is an attempt to make himself appear to remain relevant in the face of these changing political winds - at the expense of the safety and well-being of black women and black children.

Just when I thought he had some sense, he pulls some crap like this.

I am posting about this and linking this post on my blog. Also, is it possible to get a copy of his appearance schedule? I want to stalk him until he comes to his senses.

This does not surprise me. I live in NY and have been watching the "Rev" with disdain since Tawanna Brawley. Al Sharpton cares about one thing - Al Sharpton. While I am not surprised, I am disgusted by his action. BW - we are basically on our own and the sooner we accept this - the sooner we can begin to come into our true place in this world (and it is not at the business end of any man's fist or penis).

At this point Black women need to let BM, Black organizations and all others know that they are either with us or against us - no middle ground. There is no middle ground in Dunbar Village. This is not a case where there are nuances. THE RAPISTS ARE NOT THE VICTIMS.

I just published an update including a link to video of dissension in the ranks between Al and the NAACP lawyer who was there. LMAO

Watch what happens when someone tries to take Al's shine!

Shane, I do know he will be in Memphis at the beginning of April for an MLK event. Before then I'm not sure but I'll head over to his site to see whats online.

This man is an Anti Black Female Disgrace! I'm not trying to be funny, but I wish somebody would hurry find a major scandal around his behind, and hurry shut him up and make him go away! He has done more damage than good for anybody. I just knew something was UP. I have no respect for this man and none for the rest of the NAACM. They all make me sick.

I don't know how many people are actually fans of Al Sharpton, but I DO know that the media loves him. Especially the Fox News Channel. The fact that they love having him on their shows should tell us all something!

I don't know what is going through that man's head, but his lack of judgment about people is astounding. With all the valid racial injustices going on in our country, he likes to hop on questionable bandwagons.

Hopefully no one listens to him anymore (except white folks who love to hate him, and use him as a racial decoy.)

I love the "how do we apply for U.N. peacekeepers" question.

I'm in New Orleans. If you ever do find out the answer to the peacekeepers question, please let me know, as we in NOLA desperately need them too. And likewise, if I get an answer, I'll pass it along to you (end sarcasm).

Jeez.

This is so bizarre that I can't even begin to wrap my head around it.

Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.

But it appears to be rooted in the fact that Sharpton has a certain agenda...and he's an opportunist. To support his agenda, he had to bring up the issue of race and felt the need to point out another rape case....that had nothing to do with the Dunbar Village incident. And defending Black males seems to be standard operating procedure. And attention is always aimed at "the system" rather than the behavior of the knuckleheads.

Someone has to break the grip that these social justice pimps have over urban America.

Being a Black man is becoming more embarrassing with each passing day.

Let me leave before I say too much...

I am new to this blog and really enjoy the focus being black women. Honestly, nothing surprises me about "Rev" Al anymore.

The funny thing, I don't even think he cares about black men. The cards just play themselves out so it appears he does. I really think Al is obsessed with "the white man". As long as the Dunbar case was just about a black woman and some black rapist, it wasn't worthy of his attention. My guess is one of these thugs parents sold him the "white man" angle, and he couldn't get there fast enough. He'll defend black women too...so long as there is a "the white man" involved.

Honestly, given http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-9863416_ITM" REL="nofollow">this account of the peacekeeping mission in Somalia, no, I dont think peacekeepers would help the women of Dunbar Village.
