Who Knew Obama Was going to Appoint Jesse Jackson As His Next Secretary of State?

If you recall, in January, I interviewed Jesse Jackson for ESSENCE.com following the South Carolina Primary results. My impression was that the man is not stupid. So one can only assume that his most recent hijinks are intentional or are the result of some sort of vascular health issue that is affecting the blood flow to his brain ( I am so not kidding).
Unlike Rev. Al, Jackson PUBLICLY declared his support for Obama early on. However, when last I saw Jesse Jackson, he was wondering aimlessly around on the concourse of INVESCO field. It was actually kind of sad to compare Sharpton's posse in Denver to Jackson's. Al was everywhere. Even places I am sure he wasn't wanted, but Jesse Jackson reminded me of Joe Louis and during the years he was trying to pay off his tax debt to the IRS, he was just ...around.
After that whole cutting off Barack Obama's private parts, thing, Jesse was left giving interviews in the darkened parking lot outside of the Pepsi Center . Heck even Omarosa got to give her interviews indoors.
I thought the Acolytes had dropped Jesse Jackson off on some uninhabited island in the Indian Ocean, so tell me how he got hold of another live microphone?
In case you didn't hear, Jesse Jackson decided to articulate what he believes to be Barack Obama's future foreign policy as it relates to the Israel. Keeping in mind 600,000 folks living in Florida who might take umbrage with the following statements. IN fact this week, the perpetually profane Sarah Silverman helped to launch The Great Schelp project:
WARNING: THIS IS A VIDEO OF SARAH SILVERMAN SO OF COURSE THERE IS PROFANITY/ RACIAL STEREOTYPES
I have the feeling that these comments by Jesse Jackson might mitigate all of that... Ya Think?
Everyone is focusing on those statements, but the following quotes are far more interesting to moi.... I especially loved the part where Jesse says he basically adopted Barack Obama as his own son and is singularly responsible for launching Obama's political career:
Well we KNOW that is a lie because the only "careers" that members of the Civil Rights Industrial Complex launch are those of their own children. As for the impact, I think people are hyperventilating . I do not believe that there is any such thing as an undecided voter at this point.
That sound you just heard was Michelle Obama's pen scratching Jesse Jackson's name off of the guestlist for the inaugural ball. If he is lucky, he might be allocated a branch on a cherry blossom tree and some opera glasses so that he can view the swearing in ceremony ... FROM A DISTANCE!!! I can't wait to read Jesse Jackson, Jr's response. "I would no more repudiate my own father ... scratch that. I don't know this man. I never met him. Security! Security! "

“Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades” will lose influence under an Obama administration.
“Obama is about change,” Jackson added. “And the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it.” New York Post

But he adds that Obama has been "a neighbor or, better still, a member of the family." Jackson's son has been a close friend of Obama for years, and Jackson's daughter went to school with Obama's wife Michelle.
"We helped him start his career," says Jackson. "And then we were always there to help him move ahead. He is the continuation of our struggle for justice not only for the black people but also for all those who have been wronged."New York Post

Why can't Jesse let Obama toot his own horn? I don't understand his overwhelming need to be seen and heard. This is a problem not only apparent in the political arena some Black Americans just can't allow another Black American get any praise without trying to demean them.
GOOD GRIEF!!
I realize that 2008 has not bode well for the Chitlin' Eatin' Negro. That being said, why can't the absentee father and civil rights era pariah just leave well-intentioned black folks alone?
He's like a a highly virulent infection. Each time I see the spit pooling in his jowls, I know that something incredibly stupid is going to come out of his mouth.
*SIGH*
I can't wait until the Chitlin' Eatin' Negro sees the nail in the coffin. Hopefully November 4th will be as transformative as it is affirming; for me at least.
Jesse Jackson is irrelevent. Always was in my opinion, I expect Obama to nominate Richard Holbrook as Secretary of State and hoepfully Colin Powell or Jack Webb as Defense Secretary...
