The Blogmother
Y'all know I am a devout member of Bedside Baptist Church where our Pastor is the Honorable Rev. Dr. A. Larm Clock, Sr., but I was going through YouTube to look at the Juanita Bynum clips and I came across this one and I was like "man, she was talking to us." She ain't perfect, but the message is powerful. "You can't make the right decisions when you are a slave to your emotions" Whew don't I know it. I'm working on that though. Have y'all noticed any improvement? See how calm I was about the little wrinkle that popped up this week? Cool as a cucumber (comparatively speaking). She goes off on a tangent at minute number 4, but the first four are good. Don't be a dreamer folks!
"This is the hour that you have to get it right and get it right now."
I'm taking the weekend off. The guest columnists will moderate the comments. Enjoy. I have to finish this book y'all. We ain't got time to wait.
Y'all pray for Juanita Bynum.....oh yeah and Bishop Weeks too ( I guess).

"He is extremely sad over the events that have taken place," said Edward Garland, another attorney representing Weeks. "I think there is hope on his part that the relationship can get past these difficult moments. (SOURCE)Um, Nah, just her. "These difficult moments"?? WTH? Choking punching and kicking YOUR WIFE is not a difficult moment. I swear to goodness if they have some kind of reconciliation testimony.......... Let that marinate and then Speak on it!
Don't forget to like our Facebook Page. We shut down our NING network. My book More Than Words is now available for download for $3.99 |

Never heard of her.
Then again, I don't follow what's going on in the world of Black Hollywood or the so called Black elite. I couldn't care less. They just represent another branch of Black pop culture... none of which I can stomach.
But domestic violence is a serious problem no matter what group is involved.
It will be interesting to see how she responds... But from my experience, I wouldn't be surprised if she decides to drop all charges and gets back with him... i've seen it too many times.
Will she play the religious role and try to maintain family/marriage... or take care of herself? Religion is generally not very empowering for women in this situation. The overriding message is to be subservient to your husband, yield to your husband, let your husband lead, obey your husband...etc etc etc.
And these prosperity preachers seem to be multiplying. You can't flip through the channels at night without seeing at least one of these folks... telling you to send money, lol. It has become a full fledged industry unto itself.
This is one of the reasons why Black folks have been lulled to sleep....distracted from the real serious issues facing humanity, whether in this country or around the world. Many feel that if they have attained a nice house and a Mercedes then everything must be great for everyone else... regardless of the situation with the people losing their homes across the country, with mass rape and murder of Africans in Darfur, the assault on their voting rights, the lack of accountability from those in government...sending their children off to die and to kill others all for less than honorable motives, or the struggling family in the next zip code.
I often wonder what book they are reading. It seems as though they extract only the passages that talk about attaining some sort of bounty.... While playing down the overriding message of the Bible which talks about spiritual nourishment... and "the least of these".
Both of them are already frauds in my eyes...so if they wanna do a "reconciliation" testimony, that would just add to the phoniness already present.
Now now. Heavenly Zeta, we don't konw that they are FRAUDS per se. Now we might suspect... but I digress.
I've screwed up enough to know that the universe can still send a message through a flawed individual.
Do I have a problem with flash and trash ministries. Absolutely, but there is a piling on of Juanita that makes me uncomfortable. I ain't saying y'all are wrong. I just feel bad that she got beat down in public and now the whole world knows it. Did you hear he is like 6 ft and she is 5'2. That was beatdown.
I also feel badly for Juanita. She helped me work through some dark feelings that I had about a truly dark period in my life. I continue to pray for her.
This incident is absolutely deplorable. I am sick of people not taking responsibility for what they do and want to blame everyone and everything else but the person in the mirror. Her husband is pathetic. She can love her husband and pray for him on her WAY OUT OF THE DOOR!
