What About Solutions: Sisterhood Agenda

Whew! I made it through the first month of 2009 keeping my promise to feature solutions to many of the problems we address everyday on this blog. This is our last What About Solutions entry for January. YAY! If you want to promote a group or individuals fighting the War on Black women, click on “contact” at the top of the page and let us know. Our final entry is The Sisterhood Agenda Join the Movement Campaign:

Sisterhood Agenda, Inc. is a global, award-winning nonprofit organization created to uplift and aid in the self-development of women and girls of African descent, a historically at-risk and traditionally underserved population.  Sisterhood Agenda serves over 3 million women and girls each year in over 30 countries.

Sisterhood Agenda creates and centralizes resources for females of African descent to address health, cultural, social, and economic needs through a variety of innovative approaches, publications, programs and services.

Sisterhood Agenda recognizes that the most effective programs often operate at the grassroots level.   Sisterhood Agenda’s social impact is expanded through partnerships with agencies, individuals and businesses throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, United Kingdom, and Africa.
