During the hearing, Kilpatrick reacted to criticism of his actions by sometimes turning around to look at the courtroom’s middle seating section, where wife Carlita Kilpatrick, father Bernard Kilpatrick, sister Ayanna Kilpatrick and a couple dozen allies offered friendly looks and mostly quiet words of encouragement.
But supporters grew increasingly angry as the hearing progressed, as they listened to the judge and prosecutors highlight Kilpatrick’s criminal actions. Kilpatrick’s body language also evolved, as he folded his arms in a defiant pose and began to frown.
Afterward, when a seething Bernard Kilpatrick was asked what he felt while he watched his son led into custody, he replied: “The anguish of thousands of black fathers for years who watched their sons being railroaded into jail.”
Railroaded? Your son created a paper trail of his infidelity and then lied about it. Under oath… Did we mention his son is an attorney? Didn’t he have five lawyers? Didn’t he lie? Isn’t Detroit run by Black folks? Who runs that railroad?
Kim Worthy is not through with him yet. She is continuing to investigate him related to come travel issues and the death of Tamera Greene and as I predicted, it looks like the Feds are not far behind.
Though she confirmed that she is working with the police on the investigation, when asked whether she was working with the FBI, she said only: “We are doing it in conjunction with law enforcement.”FREEP

I cannot believe that even now Kwame is still acting like he is large and in charge!
A thug-life Mayor who let’s his business get raggedy and may possibly be involved in a serious criminal act isn’t being railroaded. He is getting what he deserves.
I was so confused when I saw the footage of this hearing. He and his wife were all smiles, he was surrounded by dozens of jovial faces, I assumed this mustve been shot at “happier times” pre-conviction. Surely one couldnt find the humor in being a disgraced mayor, whose infedelity was broadcasted for all to see, Right? apparently it must be an inside joke
His father’s got a lot of nerve.
His father’s claim about racism should not go without a challenge. It’s dangerous and it allows for actual cases of racial injustice to be trivialized.
Remember his mother also made that claim in true ghetto style. He is obviously a product of his parents.
I am not surprised at all at the smugness of Kwame. I will not be surprised if he continues his madness when out of jail. I can tell he is unrepentant and has no plans to change. We will not have any sense beat into him because of being in isolation. Looks like bloggers will have more to write about him in the future. UGH.

Ken Cockerel has a MESS on his hands to clean up. Let’s just hope that when the mayor gets out of jail, that he doesn’t garner enough local support to pull a Marion Barry routine.
Seeing him laughing in the court room was not a shocker. Seeing him being cheered on by his wife and others was not only disgusting AND shocking but gives you an insight into why he got in trouble in the first. There were too many around him that saw no wrong in his actions.
His wife is one of those black women in love with a thug. Not all thugs sell drugs and work the corner, many of them are in suits and ties. It was his arrogance and thuggishness that attracted her to him in the first place, so I am not at all surprised that she is yuckin’ it up in the courtroom.
I feel bad for all the good folks of Detroit just trying to survive in a city that is run by a bunch of coons-with-degrees. Coons-with-degrees ruin nearly everything they touch but for some reason black people think they know what they are doing. Sadly, I predict that he will pull a Marion Barry and come back as King. Some folks need to be lobotomized.

He and his family are a bunch of personality-disordered, narcissistic, egotistical, vain assholes. The nerve of him and them. They’ve coddled him all his life, even up until now.
He should’ve gotten more time. Apparently he was raised to believe that he can get whatever he wants with no consequences whatsoever. His parents are to blame for that, as evidenced by reading this blog entry.
