About “Unconventional Women”
Aug. 19, 2008 – Thousands of women and girls will gather on Aug. 25, the first day of the Democratic National Convention, for “Unconventional Women,” a symposium designed to raise the diverse voices of women in American politics. This nonpartisan event is open to the public. Tickets are available at www.unconventionalwomen.org and begin at $1. Hunt Alternatives Fund is the lead convener of this event and Ambassador Swanee Hunt, president of Hunt Alternatives Fund, will moderate each session. Proceeds will benefit four nonpartisan event partners: The White House Project, The Women’s Campaign Forum, Latina Initiative, and Women’s Voices, Women Vote.
