Lord what have we started. Behold the power of the internet. We went from a small group of outraged folks (here, here, here, and here) to protests on the streets. Taking it from the screen to the streets! Deion Sanders tried to creep on out of the DL Hughley performance away from the protesters and the protesters put him on front street. We have to applaud Deion ( The NBC affiliate spells it “Deon” Wikipedia says otherwise) for atleast being man enough to make a statement on camera. Watch the video. Why couldn’t the media cover this when I sent them polite letters?
I don’t care what (Tatum) said,” said Sanders. “If we condemn everyone for making a derogatory comment, I mean, we wouldn’t have anyone in this country. It’s not for me to judge somebody, it’s for me to give a person love. These people are screaming ‘What would Jesus do? What would God do?’ He would forgive, if you ask me.” Deon Sanders creeping out of the DL Hughley performance in Fort Worth.
Watch DL Hughley respond to the protest in a pre-show interview. “I don’t regret for one second what I said,” said Hughley.Hughley even made a joke about it during a pre-show interview with NBC 5’s Ellen Goldberg.”I think one of the protestors was so old he didn’t even know what he was protesting,” said Hughley.
A protester was even escorted out of the performance. Eddie is that YOU? Drop us a line and let us know they didn’t put you on lockdown. According the the Ft. Worth Star Telegram, the protester was issued a citation from criminal trespass.
UPDATE: We got more video here, (he basically says he’s not appoligizing and says the he does not respect the protesters and questions their intellect.)
Happy Juneteenth. Exercising all those freedoms.
Today is Day Two of BET Sponsor Watch. Do your homework people!

Thanks for posting on my site and making me aware of this site. I LOVE THIS SITE and support the movement. I’ve been boycotting the promotion of self-hatred for many years.
I’m always hard on sistas submitting to this patriarchal sexist BS – especially women in the church house; however I know it’s generational conditioning of self-hate that must be broken. It’s nice to know you’re here. Thanks!
Yes, that is me being escorted out of Bass Hall by the FWPD during the DL Hughley performance. Yes, I was cited with criminal trespassing and barred for life from the Hall. I knew that we were going to take a hit from the African-American community.
But notice on the video interview of Hughley that he admits being nervous about the protest (a “first” for him), that he was “irritated”. Clearly, he is also embarrassed. How did he think the Rutgers women felt after his Leno show appearance? Is this the same man who so freely embarrassed others and can’t handle a little embarrassing publicity himself? We never expected such a large coverage from all four local television networks and newspaper. The more coverage we received, the greater Hughley’s embarrassment.
WhatAboutOurDaughters was the first to inform us of Hughley’s offense. Today, I published a follow up story. Thank you for your work. The ball now passes from our court to another city for another time. In the meantime, we have bridges to repair. We are terribly unpopular because of this protest, especially among our young hip-hoppers. I’m afraid they’ll never understand.
That ignorant Deon Sanders is part of the tradition of Black poison that is keeping the race in the toilet. I never liked him…even when he played. I couldn’t stand his antics. He was one of the guys who helped bring the culture of clowning into the NFL and helped to popularize it. A lot of Black college players took after him & Michael Irvin in the 90’s… The professionalism of guys like Jerry Rice has been replaced by foolishness (on and off the field). This is one of the reasons why I don’t follow the NFL anymore. It seems that every other week we are hearing about a Black player with drugs or guns in his car…. beating his woman, being involved in a shooting… being in a brawl, or something else crazy. That whole culture is part of the leftovers from Deons legacy. The same has happened with the NBA.
His “Oh I don’t care about his comments…. I’m just here to party and bull—– and have a good time” attitude is all too common… among the Black masses and Black celebrities.
I guess that’s why I completely despise the majority of Black celebs…. and their degenerate value systems.
Black kids look up to these celebs…. It should be no surprise that the kids are going down the toilet…(because they are trying to emulate these celebrity thugs).
And these women who date these guys… I can’t write what I want to write about em. But they are a very large part of the problem…because they send a message to Black girls that says…this is the “in” thing… this is the kind of man you should be with… It’s o.k. to date these men. Beyonce is probably the main culprit. But there is no shortage of others. These women will line up to date these men. If any of these thug rap stars or sports figures announced a “wife search” TV program… women would line up around the block (twice) and would be willing to wait for days to be a part of the program and win a date with one of these guys. Money has become the new religion and the new moral code of this society…especially in the so called “Black community”. The behavior of these celebrity women is far more damaging, in my opinion, than what the male rappers are doing. Because these women poison & disarm the minds of Black girls… turning off all defense mechanisms so they can’t fight the negative images…or even recognize when they are being degraded or disrespected. These female celebs create an atmosphere of acceptance of these conditions for the Black girls who are subjected to this nonsense. Everything positive that you try to teach your daughter… a female celeb is probably 10 times more effective at reversing whatever positive value that you have tried to instill.
I am putting together a website (in blog form) to keep a list of all of these folks…
I’m having trouble figuring out the best way to post a gallery of pictures… (post directly to the pages or use an third party website). I’m tech challenged, lol. But as always… I will figure something out.
The name of the Blog is tentatively “The Black Hall Of Shame”.
I will also have a separate area for the women who date these men… especially the celebs. A lot of popular female celebs will
be on the list.
I also want to post photos of bad Black Figures and Positive Black figures on my main blog… I am trying to get used to all the features. It will be a variant of what The Field Negro does. I can’t have posts about the negative Black figures and not recognize the positive ones (past and present).
For some reason I believe my first post didn’t go through about this, so I’m posting it again. There is already a site on boycotting BET sponsors, which also has the person’s email address. The site also includes all the BET sponsor’s contact information.
